Begin the Beginning

Somewhere at the tip of 2022, I felt this insatiable desire to shake off the last two years. I can't easily explain why, but it wasn't due to the pandemic or the numerous lockdowns imposed by our ruling government. It just was. In the back half of 2021, I had this sinking feeling that I was on autopilot, caught in my own Truman Show, watching the world go by as a passive participant.

Post the new year, I promised to change and start exploring my creative side. Not an easy feat, considering I have zero artistic capabilities and that my schedule is jam-packed with things related to my full-time role as an executive. Who cares? Right? I think it's important to balance the things that we have to do with what we love to do. It creates perspective and a renewed sense of new.

The first ingredient to cure my funk is getting back in front of the mic and recording new episodes of Brash Words. This time, the show will be different. I'm going to record one new episode per week, and it'll be a mixture of both audio and video. Oh god. The theme will be similar to the first nine episodes, but more focused on imparting my experiences and life lessons running a company. I'm sure that I'll have one or two cool guests on the show at some point.

Enjoy episode ten, and as things unfold in my creative journey, I'll make sure to report back.
